Hopefully this gets funding to scale up to a nationally representative survey.

Not sure about the reported finding of 36% undiagnosed glaucoma in the sample 50+ in the article?? 🤔
Groundbreaking research reveals widespread, often hidden sensory loss among over-50s, prompting calls for national action on eye & hearing health.

Findings from the UK National Eye Health & Hearing Study were shared at an event supported by the College ➡️ https://coptom.uk/4ohEXaT

These are some ambitious 10-year targets for #primarycare #optometry in England. Scotland - a smaller and more uniform health system - has been at this for 20 years, with decent govt funding committed to optometry at certain points, and still has a way to go. Aim high I guess!

How many people use the report junk option in outlook for the masses of “submit your valuable cataract access study to our chemistry journal” type emails?

Do you report every junk email, some, or none (ie just delete)? Does it make any difference? What if we all did it all the time?

Key motivation for the RAAB survey repository was removing some technical and motivational barriers to data sharing. All open data and reports are now assigned a DOI and usage licence and data owners can be acknowledged correctly. We continue to work to align with FAIR principles. #OphthoSky #EyeSky
