Screenplays written by the late Isao Takahata when he was 20 have been discovered:
- "Oeyama" (inspired by Shuten-doji oni/folktale)
- "Moratta Hoseki" (inspired by Kenji Miyazawa's "The Fire of the Shell")
And a first draft for "Princess Kaguya".
