You know in the U.S., if you intentionally lie to government, the “False Claims Act” applies, and the executives who did so can go to jail for two years. For each act.

And yes, it happens.

I just can’t imagine that in Australia, where business leaders lie with impunity.

It is very interesting to observe how the gross behavior of Kerr, Charles, Fraser has been whitewashed by history. While it’s true Whitlam was playing politics, he knew what was happening, but is pilloried for it while the true criminals - yes, criminals - have been forgiven.

I have a friend who is in Tallahassee, her former location. Staff there are described as “warm bodies”: unemployable leftovers that nobody else could want. Sadists, corrupt, arrogant sociopaths who get off on tormenting the inmates. This will be quite a change for Maxwell.

I am not even slightly joking in saying this: should we be classifying cookerism - which has completely infested the Libs - as a mental health condition?

It is reality denying, has serious and almost completely negative affects on their life, and seems to be externally triggered. It is a disorder.

The question I would ask is why is the judge giving the council a chance to revise their arguments? “Gone off the rails.” The case should be dismissed summarily, and costs awarded against the council.

As I mentioned, when I was in university in the mid 80s I worked in a nursing home to pay for living expenses and textbooks (no HECS then, thank you, Gough Whitlam).

Matron once gave me this advice, which I have always remembered: “horrible young people don’t become nice old people.”

Good advice.

He’s so clearly not a complete individual. I wouldn’t even call him underdeveloped. He is a bitter, arrogant, largely empty of value individual solely driven by his own hubris. He is a shell of a man.

And so it begins: the idolisation of one of the most awful, repulsive, divisive, nasty and malicious “commentators” Australia ever suffered from.

One down, one to go. Hopefully the other one dies in prison from the multiple sexual assault charges he is currently facing.
