This is apparently a real advertisement from 1936. “An uncrowned market.” “Good profits, no competition.” I wonder why?!

Here is their current CEO. While I know nothing about her and express no disrespect to her, in my opinion, I question whether this background is actually someone who should be the CEO of Guide Dogs Australia, or whether she is just a typical Australian “professional” exec and serial board member.

Apparently I live in Canberra’s “trick or treat” epicentre, where people actually come to our suburb to do trick or treat. We have severely under catered, and local stores are empty. Emergency Costco run underway.

Google Ad Services brokering an advertisement on YouTube for a product containing 20000 illegally copied games. As you can see, it includes Nintendo games, so @nintendousa.bsky.social you may be interested in this, because YouTube’s complaint page just gives a 403 error.

Ummm… where?!

Yes! The store did sell pizza, but this was ordered as and delivered as focaccia. I suppose I’m asking is if there is some weird form of focaccia I wasn’t aware of. Yes, I did search but didn’t find anything. To me, this is what focaccia looks like….

Folks, sanity check me. Is there any way in which this is a focaccia? I did ubereats and ordered focaccia with garlic and cheese, and….

Absolutely f***ing insane, and the council that allowed this should be put against a wall and removed from the corruption pool via firing squad. 😡

Well, the view from my hotel room is… something. Second pic is straight down.

One of the worst flights I was ever on was a Sydney to LAX one on United. Old plane and no IFE system, and there was just a large movie screen. The tape got jammed in the player, so they played the same movie six times. Six. “17 Again.” So I turn on my IFE today and the PTSD is still there. 🤣

Here is the thunderstorm over the Three Sisters. It looks so much more striking in real life, and it isn’t visible at all in normal light.

UTS has a bit of a surprising storeroom.

Genuinely funny bit of troubleshooting advice. This is from a Mirabella Genio product: no engineering included apparently!

Would someone like to tell YouTube that these are illegal in every single state of Australia? Selling illegal items, yet Google doesn’t seem to care.

Alan Jones had decades of tirades and on-air attacks on legal processes, universally wanting police to be more extreme. Categorize this, therefore, under “interesting”. (Screenshot from ABC reporting of new indecent assault charges.) As usual, he is entitled to the presumption of innocence.

Just to repeat post this…

The AWN, as of yesterday, still has this sign for BRS. Their inability to confront the legal findings is truly disturbing, and this sign is very out of date (he did appeal, HC declined to consider it). Just a reminder that Tony Abbott is a member of the AWM council.

The first is a fraud, the second shows the real item and its actual (realistic price). Google could stop these things, but believes it’s not the company’s job. This is a well known scam technique, and Google is a party to the scam by its inaction and disinterest.

The hagiographic image of him in the Afghanistan section is gone, but this sign remains. It is out of date: he not only appealed but two weeks ago that appeal was rejected. As we know from the recent fiasco over the book, the War Memorial council is deeply divided over BRS. It shouldn’t be.

I don’t think one of them has actually read the Bible in any systematic way, just been told what it says by evangelical fraud pastors. This is the same thing as the Catholics did with Latin mass: make sure the flock doesn’t find out what it really says. This part seems especially apropos.

I used the Google Vision API to analyse a pic of myself. Aside from reading, which I barely have time for, it got not a single thing correct. Income massively under-estimated, political orientation, biases, interests: 100% wrong. I despise smoking and gambling. Hilarious.

🤮

This is Shitler’s idea of being clever and subtle. I think we all know what it means, and why he was desperate for it not to be public.

Seen in Liverpool. Not compliant with electoral laws.

For a pleasant change of pace…

This app shows you, for any date or time of day, the shadow of the sun. This is one of those “wow” apps for me, and would be super useful planning a house. This shows the shadow of Mt Ainsley over Civic this morning. shademap.app

Hello, Coles. Kinda pointless carrying this if you don’t also carry cheese curd!

My Native Canadian partner calls this “an abomination”, by the way. Buying it would put my relationship in great jeopardy, I suspect.
