Driving myself nuts trying to remember the name of the batter who drove in the walk off homer of game 2 of the 1992 World Series for the Jays. Ed Sprauge! Immortalized by Macleans Magazine as “Ed Who?” This has been for @davidjroth.bsky.social only.

usually in kids movies, the villain's plan is undone by some sort of mistake the villain makes due to their own flaws, but in THE LITTLE MERMAID, everything in Ursula's plan works perfectly and then Prince Eric fixes it by just straight up murdering her.

I bet, merely by suggesting it in the right way, you could get Trump to say he was friends with Herbie the Love Bug. You would just have to frame it in a way that was a given. "You of course had a great success racing Herbie the Love Bug," then let him cook.

From my hospital bed, with a nursing staff just outside my door all decked out in Oilers gear: WHOOHOO! CANUCKS! CANUCKS! CANUCKS! YEAH BABY!

They admitted me to a *one-bed* hospital room! It’ll be taken from me when someone who needs it more is admitted, but for now: LUXURY!
Switch of plans on advice of oncologist. Back in the ER for blood transfusion and other procedures. My Pokémon approach of trying to acquire every medical procedure has some downsides.
I’ve been wrecked the last 10 days or so with fatigue, but today may have found at least part of reason why: a big drop in my hemoglobin. Blood transfusion set for Tuesday and my adventure through Alberta’s cancer treatment regime continues.

one of the games of the year - now to get my heart rate down.
Phew I can finally exhale!! What a clawback win from the Canucks. This is the team that we saw from earlier this season. 👏 Congrats to Boeser, Garland, and Miller on their milestones!

…for a hellworld in November, where the election margin is razor thin in maybe, I dunno, two or one state, and everything goes to shit.

It’s a highly plausible scenario, and if it happens, it cannot be overstated how little we as a nation and government are prepared for it. Sweet dreams

will no one rid me of these turbulent magistrates?
With that "how many will I have to endure....?" line he is inching ever closer to directly asking one of his cult members to hurt someone involved in the case.

[IANAL, but I am assuming this is still nowhere close to the line of a real threat]

a few days ago, @risingaction.bsky.social asked fans who their favoured playoff opponent for the Canucks would be, and I answered anyone but the Kings. Feeling vindicated this morning. Kings hockey could cure sleep deprivation.

“Nobody saw this coming”. Really @passittobulis.bsky.social? I think you’ll find I predicted the Canucks having a 100+ point season. I left a written copy of that prediction with a friend. You wouldn’t know her, she’s, errr, American. Yes, that’s it. Don’t use her sportsbook.
“Petey was moving his feet, Gars doing his thing on the forecheck, Höggy — I mean, that breakaway goal, he made an unreal move. That line was feeling it tonight.”

Nils Höglander was a beast for the Canucks in a 4-2 win over the Flames.
