You saw the NWSL analytics tiers yesterday, here’s what the analysts had to say when we actually spoke to them a few months back:

If people really find this to be such an easy conclusion, then Congressional authority should be easy to get.

So why don’t they insist on a vote?

They know this isn’t “progressive” resistance. They want to marginalize it as such because on top of this war being ILLEGAL, it’s also deeply unpopular.
CNN’s Van Jones urges “progressives” to “get on board” with bombing Iran:

“I think progressives underestimate how dangerous Iran is. Iran is not a normal country,” he said on air.

Jones did not share whether he considers Israel—an apartheid state currently committing genocide—a “normal country.”

If Joe Biden posted something like this Hannity would be roused from his sleep to anchor special coverage. But Trump posts apeshit conspiracy theories and the mainstream press yawns. His craziness has been completely normalized.
Trump repost on Truth Social: “There is no #JoeBiden - executed in 2020.
#Biden clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities are what you see.

when i was a child, my family took CHIP and food stamps. this shaped my entire orientation toward government programs (positive) in a way most pundits don't have access to. and also, not to brag, but i think my siblings and i are proof that the ROI on feeding children is very high
There is not a single congressional district in the U.S. where more than 15% of voters support cuts to SNAP, the federal program that provides food assistance to millions of low-income Americans.

I've never felt more like an English major than when I described the Doll Discourse as a metaphor. (I didn't get good grades in my high school English classes.) But I felt comfortable because it's a metaphor for a very economic idea: Tariffs mean we're all going to get by with less.

Imagine having the audacity to say something like this and feel completely comfortable you won't face repercussions. There truly is no low for these people.

Real interesting seeing the people I know who endlessly talked about how Hillary should be in jail and it was a disgrace she wasn't, now just basically shrug. By real interesting I obviously mean not surprised at all. We have reached just incredible levels of incompetence

Think I've decided #ASIS2025 and its future iterations is the only conference I will go to. As someone very much tangentially related to the sports analytics space it definitely scratched that itch without feeling too networky or feeling like you needed to come away with a bunch due to obscene cost
