one of the problems in the timing of our #TTRPG last night is that we split character creation and gameplay, not lighting the candles until that 2nd half…

in between? a taco bar that starred shredded pork from this sexy thing:

Prepared mustard greens for the first time last night and gotta say, as far as the dark greens go, they’re my new fave. A little less toothsome and more peppery than collards. We tossed them with @pcrebs.bsky.social roasted brussels sprouts and cranberry. Delish!

A pretty boring, beige countertop with a lemon, lime, container of sea salt, the bottoms of various oil bottles visible around the outside. Rather than just chop and roast #Cauliflower with evoo/s/p like normal, i found a recipe to poach it whole in a brine with cumin, peppercorns, sugar, fennel, and coriander for 15 minutes and then a roast to finish it off.

Almost too salty in spots, but I’ll try this again!

Corzetti pasta with a pine nuts & fresh oregano butter sauce and roasted squash drizzled with whipped honey-ricotta. This labor intensive dish is traditionally a show-off. The corzetti stamp can be found online or at Fante’s in #Philly.

The theme for my first On The Edge ccg deck is “Can I Read This Font?”

DOH! I just remembered that I gave away my 7 Seas decks during spring culling… But I did find these:
2 starter decks of the vintage (face-palm) ccg’s: Rage and Doom Trooper. The Rage box is orange on black and features a super angry werewolf. Doom Trooper is camo green with gold text over some symmetrical silver gears and bladey bits.
