I would really like to see more work owned cooperatives in journalism like we see with @theflytrapmedia.com. I would really like to see billionaire owners and their pet stooges not have any say in what gets published at all.

Exactly, this is the one way that Democrats could both immediately take blame for the shutdown and look like absolute cowards. They literally chose the worst political option they could have and I just don't think that is incompetency.
