I am so glad that Eve has utilised the half-point, and forced Dave into it too. (Some 6 and 7s are borderline either way. I once threatened to use percentages.)

Disappointments, surprises, and a whole lotta bruises.

I got offered a new job today, which is very nice, but I'm possibly more excited to see if Joe Root can score the 22 more runs needed and move up to 2nd in the all-time Test run-scorers list.

England & Wales - nae Ashes without Simon & Geraint Jones- were rotten when I started watching cricket

I'm only harsh on the ones needing harshed on.

I don't do participation medals

I have been beating this drum for a while, and now we're at Neil Peart/Mario Duplantier levels:

Huw Jones is sensational. The lost-Rennie years are a damn shame, but he showed Andy Murray-style balls to come back up here and show what he can do

"Keep politics out of metal!" screams person about event organised by Tom Morello.

David Draiman has gleefully, and unrepentantly, signed weapons which do not discriminate when they go boom.

Fuck him sky-high, and good on the people who booed his murder-approving ass.

UTA dropped Bob Vylan but represents Chris Brown just so you know where the line of acceptability is

The urgent warning isn't that we have a women-beating, notoriously thuggish, tuneless arsehole playing in our national football stadium, but that traffic might be bad.

I live here, traffic's always bad

Wimbledon ain't Wimbledon until some unheard of journeyman, who's usually very tall and has a scud of a serve, beats one of the favourites.

Mon the Rinderknech!

Finally caught yon "Ted Lasso", I think it should form part of the national curriculum. Loved it.

It could teach, young lads especially, lessons about personal growth and tackled - pun intended - issues with a delicate, humorous touch.

But, if any of you pricks say I look like Roy fucking Kent...

Jack Conan looks like a 1920's-inspired pugilist character from a mid-90s beat em up.
He's usually easy to beat unless you get caught by a big wind-up punch. When he defeats you, he says "Bully!"

Got absolutely creamed in the first half, picked himself up, got tore back in, and - I hope I don't jinx him here - comes up with the match-defining moment:

That's Finn Russell

They've had a good run, maybe it's the time the USA took some time apart and did some solo stuff/side-projects, then maybe do a reunion tour and consider working again together

Anyone want to go see Pulp 7th June?

Have to sell tickets, Rona gone done ruptured her Achilles. I kept telling her dancing is the devil's work and we should move to Footloose town, but no.

Selling under face value TM have added a wad of charges

Scott McTominay's going to have the worst/best hangover tomorrow morning. The whole city's probably going to be waiting for him to go to bed then shut down until he wakes up. The king must rest.

Delighted for him and Billy Gilmour.

Does Scott Cummings going temper my outrage at Darcy Graham's exclusion in the Lions squad?

We'll discuss that tonight when we record the @scotrugbypod.bsky.social, assuming I can duct tape my laptop back together and it switches on

Leinster v Northampton, and now Inter v Barca?!
It's been quite a week for the European semi-finals.

I was really worried the 2nd leg would turn into a diving competition but that was outstanding.

I think Barca should have had a penalty. Foul on Yamal by Mkhitaryan continued into the box

I am Ruairidh Jackson's 24th man and we be recording a @scotrugbypod.bsky.social tonight.

Does anyone have any Hands In The Ruck needing mentioned?

That Trump v Brecel afternoon session was some top-class cueing.
Brecel, in particular, was on fire

Recently I found myself on Antipope Instagram, where there are endless reels of the current Antipope of the Palmarian Catholic Church.

This is, of course, extremely my jam, and I started reading up on them hoping to find some wild theology, but instead I found something WAY better...

If they end up winning the title, Scott McTominay will become more God than man in Naples.

Man United sold him for less than 1/3 of an Antony

I'm not good at Spanish so this was my understanding of the headline

Your own team's probably playing when this is on - you can read more about the wonderful scheduling in Dave's article - but there's some very good players on show here, and some meaty head-to-heads

4:30pm KO, BBC Alba. I'm doing player ratings
