I’ve been thinking how people who made their way into our hearts—people we’ve truly loved—can’t simply be replaced by someone else. New relationships are splendid gifts but don’t you think it’s rather remarkable that God made us so distinctively, no one person can fill the space left by another?

So… I’ve landed in Birmingham ahead of an early work start tomorrow. Nice to get a local greeting en route to the hotel - but I can’t read this without the voice of @jessphillipsmp.bsky.social in my head! Thank you, Jess, for all you do for the victims and survivors of domestic violence.

Just a reminder, as you look outside and notice it's already getting dark 😱, that today is the earliest sunset of the year (15:51 in London). From tomorrow the sunsets slowwwwly start getting later again. (Sunrises don't start getting earlier until Dec 30th hence solstice on 21st.) YOU ARE WELCOME.

This is worth a squint. One of the plus points about BlueSky is that folk can create starter packs of great people to follow. If you’re like me and have parachuted in from the Other Place this is indeed heaven!
