It’s reassuring to hear & see him standing with Americans when so many of our representatives are avoiding us or refuse to respond to our concerns. In essence, he’s making us feel heard!

A New Brunswick friend sent a “care package” this month filled with wonderful Canadian products & merch to me in the Midwest. 🤩

Absolutely correct! Living in rural IA, even my VFW Commander recommends not “bothering” with the local VA clinic, but instead driving the hr(s) to Iowa City.

Not just the military academies, but DOD schools for military families stationed overseas (K-12) are banning books as well. Confirmed by a family friend currently stationed in Germany.

I don’t know (or haven’t heard) abt tax cuts for farmers (like they’ve proposed recently for truckers), but P2025 does call for an end to subsidies for some crops (such as corn & soybeans, which are IA’s largest cash crops).

Doesn’t the University of Iowa have the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the state … the state which recently reported having the 2nd highest & fastest rising cancer rate in the US?

Pls know that’s being done & will continue, but as you indicated MAGA’s indoctrination thru FauxNews is intense. It’s a steep hill, but not insurmountable.

I can’t argue or defend their choices bc I don’t agree with them either. My point is that the country is divided; how do we bring it together, instead of driving that chasm deeper?

The Democratic Party in our county is active, voiceterous, & proud. If you think lumping all of us together will advocate for those in rural communities to think differently, I politely disagree. They may feel attacked & immediately shut down. Hence my “gross & divisive” remarks.

You indicate year-after-year, so reviewing my county’s results DJT won locally past 3x elections, but not always. In 2012, our rural county’s general election went to Obama. Has it been red too long? I agree.
