Which is comparable to Jon Smol and Carl Sayer's work on ASS (bad acronym) in freshwater ecosystems, though Sayer has recently started moving away from it as a useful framework

Then enough piles up or happens and it's like Huh wow no this is an actual real difference now

I make a real effort not to follow my reflexive emotional responses (often bad) so I guess I take a long time to realise my own actual mindset on some things
