Back in the day, I saw the title of the #RobbieWilliams song 'Rock DJ' before I heard the track. I thought it was going to be a song about the tragic tale of someone like this:

I’m not sure if Viz comic is sold in the US. It’s a bit of an institution. Thought you’d appreciate this entry from the 2024 Profanisaurus

Variations on the Five of Cups. One of the most resonant of the Minot Arcana for me. The first time I saw it, it stopped me in my tracks.

A hidden Glasgow gem.

The Canterbury Pilgrims by
William Blake (1757–1827)

This, along with some smaller pieces is integrated into the wood paneling of a small room in Pollok House. I think it may be closed for refurbishhment at the moment, let's hope they keep these.

Jesus Walks on Water, by Ivan Aivozovsky.
I like that this treats the character of Jesus as an eerie, supernatural being rather than a placid bearded fellow. Creepy even.

You'll find lots of Zdzisław Beksiński art on Black Metal album covers. His art is dark and unsettling, but undeniable. You either get lost in it, or are repelled by it.

It’s insane that this was on @disneyplustr.bsky.social All in all a good adaptation of something that was never intended to be a streaming drama. A couple of bits of ham acting and some anachronistic dialogue! Front of the paperback. D. Price looking like Nicola Sturgeon here!

I'll lt this go, honest, but I often wondered if it was named after this popular sweet over here. I know there's the Schubert musical angle, but a sherbet dip seems to close!

Drumtroddan Standing Stones. Well, one of them is still standing. The Elton John of Scottish prehistoric monoliths if you will. #Scotland #StandingStones @stoneclub.bsky.social

The Rembrandt ‘Belshazzar’s Feast is great. I stumbled upon the John Martin one and was blown away by the sheer…. I don’t know what… of it. Ancient opulence, scale, the ziggurat in the background. Stunning. #Art #Painting #Babylon #Iraq #Bible #Beauty
