Seems like this would undermine USBR's push to get more operational flexibility using Forecast-Informed Reservoir Operations at their California Central Valley reservoirs. Not my domain though. Any #CAwater wonks want to chime in on what this means for FIRO?

I am reeling today from all the messages I was getting from friends and colleagues at FWS, EPA, USBR, USGS about firings. Everything about this is F’d.
I’m gutted. OPM fired about 25% of my office today.
I can’t even describe what I witnessed today. So much cruelty from above, but so much love and support inside the office.
It makes no sense. We aren’t even paid out of appropriations funds. We work on “soft money” reimbursable agreements.
