When Hillary said “Nero would be proud” of Trump for withholding food stamps from his Golden House, she was right—again.

But every millennium or so, the moral polarity of the world flips. One of those times was 64 CE—when Nero persecuted the Christians.

Whenever Ken Starr returns to the news, it's fun to remember that one deputy investigating Bill Clinton (and Vice Foster) was ... Brett Kavanaugh!

Extra fun to remember that GWBush FL Recount team in 2000 included Brett K, J Roberts, AC Barrett.

Plus help from FL gov Jeb Bush. Good times!
Ken Starr emailing with Epstein in 2018 is a really interesting thing to learn about!!!!!!

My stepfather always said it was “immoral” to pay one penny in taxes beyond what you legitimately owe. For these guys, it’s immoral how they don’t even *pay* the taxes that they legitimately owe...

The Senate’s "Great Cave-in” has robbed the wind from our sails. Now we’re stalling out again. The best way I can see for us to get the wind at our backs again is for Chuck Schumer to resign (or be removed) from his role as Minority Leader: a very public course correction—an apology, if you will.

It’s not enough. Say the minimum interpretation for Trump’s “hundreds of billions” is $300B. There are ~260,000,000 adults in America. That adds up to about $1154 each—barely enough to cover meds and office visits, let alone a surgery. Totes agree about the “moneysucking Insurance Companies” though.

The fundamental problem here is the cooccurrence of these two words in the same sentence: "killed" and "alleged". The "kill" part is not supposed to happen BEFORE the status of the "alleged" part is resolved. At least, that used to be the American way...

i want to repeat this: mamdani and spanberger have run similar campaigns tailored to their respective electorates and it is maddening to watch political journalists attempt to create some broad contrast where none exist
the other thing about this is that there is no reason to pit these candidates against each other? each are good fits for their respective electorates and each shows the value of vigorous campaigns focused on the stated material problems of voters.
