Maybe AI should be isolated to one data center until it can engineer a carbon-free unlimited energy source. Once it’s proved more valuable than creating shitty videos it can expand.

City/county ordinance outlawing these things on public sidewalks please.
I came across *the* example I have been hammering with these food delivery robots.

A man with a mobility aid is forced to step aside because there is not room for him because the robot will not make room for a person (esp. those with a mobility aid who need addditional room)

Heartbreaking. The University of Nebraska will terminate its entire Earth science department.

One of the country's most successful and respected geology & climate programs: gone.

When ideologues & politicians are threatened by the very act of studying climate change, I wonder: who of us is next?
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

BREAKING: ‘This hurts’: UNL eliminates 4 programs despite faculty, student pleas
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln eliminates the Earth and atmospheric sciences 8-0, educational administration 7-1, statistics 7-1, textiles, merchandising and fashion design 7-1 programs.

We have a safe vaccine that's proven its worth over three decades. We have a strategy that works. Now obstetricians, pediatricians, insurers, state health departments & others should stand up for fact-based care, protect our children and not mess with success.

We must keep protecting our children.

If implemented, this change would put millions of children at greater risk of liver damage, cancer and early death—for no good reason

A court entry today confirms the release motion's withdrawl.
