I'm finding it hard to tune out all the political chaos and get anything done that requires focus or creativity. It reminds me of early COVID days when everything slowed down because of uncertainty and government disfunction.

I'm trying to teach through methods of collaboration and mutual care, but they are so ingrained to be motivated through competition. It is difficult to unlearn as undergrads.

Even Rubio admits that there are legal issues here. It is not possible with citizens because that would mean legal deportation, but re: undocumented people, we're already doing this by deporting them back to places where they might be harmed and sending them to Gitmo.

There are already plenty of farmers who believe the disinformation that has been spread by Trump and MAGA. How can can you blast this to your constituents and those in red, agricultural districts? They will simply blame Newsom again once summer comes and they are without water.
