Stray Children is closer to Undertale than Moon, the games structure mostly reminds me of how episodic early Paper Mario was is kind of like that, but with a more depressing feeling all around. Even if it's pretty silly, I was always interested in every area.

There is no real pacifist route, so no penalty for taking down enemies in that sense is more of a personal goal, you get an extra scene with every enemy you convince at the end, I did manage to clear all of them but it's easy to get locked out of some without a list of missables.

Getting the best defense gear at 25 gems makes the ending a billion times more manageable than the early game, still some stuff is very obtuse, lots of trial and error needed, so not the kind of game for everyone. That said most fight do have clear hints, but a few really dont.
