Meteor Shower Eta Aquarids will peak Monday morning and Tuesday morning, giving increased viewing opportunities to see upwards of ~50 meteors per hour.

- Peak time will be 3:45am through Twilight.

- You'll want to look East-Southeast.

- Ensure you're in an area with little to no light pollution.

Some highlights of yesterdays chase in Illinois!

Mini-Supercell structure was amazing, with beautiful striations and crisp cloud features!

We also spotted a tornado north of Vernon, Illinois -- The tornado was rated EF-2 with wind speeds up-to 114mph.

Chipotle drop-off = successful

Thank you, NWS Memphis, for everything and for allowing us to come in, eat, and chat for a couple of hours.

Thank you to everyone who donated to help pay for Chipotle. You all are amazing!

Those who support this also support innocent lives being at risk due to lack of severe weather warnings and research to better understand our atmosphere.

All because you wanted to save a buck. 🤡

I'll always be amazed that this crazy planet we call Earth can create such complex and beautiful storms like this. 💚☁️

One of my favorite chase days from 2024 was the June 13th cell near Lancaster, Missouri, which produced nearly 5" hailstones. #mowx

This storm went from initial radar blip to producing very large hail within less than 60 minutes.

Weather friends, I know a lot of you chased the May 25, 2023 (nearly) stationary and photogenic supercell near Grady, New Mexico. I want to see your photos!!!

Out of all the times I've been fortunate to photograph the Northern Lights from northwest Missouri, the most memorable session goes to the night of October 06, 2024. This was the first time I saw the Northern Lights with my eyes from Missouri!

Thank you, Cameron, for giving me an excuse to go back to slightly re-edit a photo I took on May 18, 2023.

Subtle things like redoing lighting and removing powerlines can make a difference in a photo!

August 08, 2023 / South of Yuma, CO — A rain wrapped tornado emerges from the curtains of blinding rain shortly before rapidly dissipating.

-

Did anyone else happen to photograph this #tornado? It would've been at least 30 minutes after the initial and very photogenic EF-3.

Bluesky being in the news on X for being offline because of influxed traffic has got to be one of the best things of 2024.

Elon Muskrat really is pushing everyone off of his crap-show of a platform and onto here! We welcome all with open arms!

A lesser known tornado from April 26, 2024 is the Redding, Iowa tornado. This tornado would be the first spawn of 3 tornadoes from this cyclical supercell. I positioned myself west of the storm near Fletchall Township, Missouri where I captured these 3 photos at 0028z.
