But for now I’m just using it to help me focus on values and contrast, simply rendering and painting in b+w and then colour after - I know you can achieve this it overlay layers too but I’m using this gradient method for now!!

I’ve enjoyed it! But still getting my head wrapped around it with some trial and error practice. I am painting the skin in black and white on one layer for example, then colouring it in a gradient map after. I’ve seen artists use it to colour their whole b+w image then paint on top

I see this too and often wonder how they don’t totally burn out! When I try to speed up it often results in such creative fatigue which isn’t good for us in the long run! I think taking time and valuing each customer and piece is beautiful and we all work at our own paces 🥰🧡
