this is how i survived racial profiling in Paris

i bought a two-inch cross on a string cord and wore it outside my clothes every day

it worked

i couldn't fucking believe how well it worked

it was the simplest, dumbest, most transparently cynical ploy

strangers smiled & i smiled too

i take back what I said about France. i've been stopped and questioned by police 4 times in the last week.

i spent decades oblivious to the fact that i look vaguely Algerian, but boy did the French let me know quickly.

this my riding and I'm genuinely relieved we've got a good Liberal candidate.
👋Some news

I’m running for Mark Carney's Liberals in Calgary-Confederation.

I live here, work here, raise my kids here. I want to offer representation that understands the economy and the public interest and be an Alberta voice standing up for Canada at a challenging time. 🧵(1/X)

Dear Albertans, it's time to connect the dots. Smith's gov't is mismanaging issues across the board
1 Shutting down renewable energy projects
2 Lifting the moratorium on coal exploration & development
3 Busting up a unified approach to health care
4 Pandering to President Trump's every whim

Dear American colleagues and friends.

Where are you?

Where are the letters and emails of support?

Where are the letters questioning every single premise of President Trump's attack on Canada?

The letters of denunciation?

big family dinner last night. going in i was repeatedly warned about another guest, my brother-in-law's B-I-L. we'd never met before but he's a rural Ontario farmer who is "kind of political". My mother-in-law painted a harsh picture. I expected a MAGA type and resolved to stick to hockey.
