Slain and Valfaris are currently at their lowest price ever on Switch (1.99 and 3.74 respectively). Slain is an amazing combat-oriented action platformer -- think Castlevania meets Splatterhouse, all set to a metal soundtrack. And Valfaris is a Contra-like people say is even better! I wanted.. Pac Man World 2 Re-Pac is so fun and putting this video together is giving me a lot of big dumb smile moments, haha.
The game gets VERY difficult in certain boss fights, especially in the remixed post-game, but all in all it's so fun

I'm almost done with The Conduit HD. I was looking for a popcorn-ass junk food FPS and this thing is SERVING. The OG Wii version was a little overtuned in difficulty, but this version has QoL features that makes it breezier. It's a mix of Halo, CoD, Half Life, Timesplitters, and a lil GoldenEye. 👽

on another note, I've been playing The Conduit on Wii and heard there was an HD android port, and though it's made for a much older version of Android, I got it working on my Retroid Pocket 5 with maxed out settings!

I tend to be open-minded to my brain's sudden questionable gaming micro-obsessions. I mean, this year I dove headfirst into the 3DO, Speccy, and Virtual Boy. But now my brain is like "Wii BALANCE BOARD, Wii BALANCE BOARD", and I'm just like, haha okay simmer down 😅 Guess I'm investing in batteries.

update on Eevee: while she had some symptoms indicative of a stroke, it turns out it may just be a vestibular condition. This can be due to a neurological issue or a simple ear infection. Obviously hoping for the latter. She has been doing better each day.
