That’s right, I AM the intrepid hunter! The great hunter of the New Forest! This pond was too good to resist a wee paddle, Tommy, but don’t worry, this is about as far in as I will go!

My hu-dad says this pic is even better for water action. 🐾🧡

Hugo is a black and silver miniature schnauzer. He’s out in the New Forest in the south of England for his morning walk. Hugo is stood amongst some heather, his face looking up, fairly close to the camera. To the side of him (on the right as you look at the photo) you can see a cob web, highlighted by the sun and the dew.

Hugo the black and silver miniature schnauzer is racing back (possibly after being called, possibly after ignoring being called and returning to his humans on his own terms…) through a carpet of coppery leaves and ferns. His white eyebrows are raised, clearly with the G force of his speediness, and his is tongue out. At this time of year, as the ferns die back, multiple mazes of paths/ferns emerge from the summer, where paths start to show themselves again. Hugo absolutely loves running through these but his humans are not so keen as he invariably goes out of their sight...
