First @lightboxexpo.com in the books! This weekend was great. Helping students, juniors and educators with our experiences during such a tumultuous time in the industry has been eye opening. It was also good to see colleagues from PlayStation, Art Institute and even from Universal Studios!

Tweaked my scene a bit trying different designs for Midcentury style. I know the SSS on the translucent fabric is going to be finicky… Also I need to look more into Midcentury light fixtures.

Some more progress as I slowly work on this scene. So far I’ve added some more Tessellation on the Carpet for a Shag effect and I made a Beauty Render scene for Prop Call Outs. Next comes some more Tileables and fleshing out the props more! #texturing #UE5 #gamedev #gameart #environmentart #3dart

Came across this take on Linked. Mind you photo is great and has benefits depending on the art discipline. The issue I and a lot of artists have with this take is that there is not absolution in GameDev. Nothing ever becomes obsolete and Photogrammetry has its cons depending on usage.

More progress! Modeled out some Furniture and threw in some Tileable Wood Floor and a Nanite-tessellated Stone Chimney
