and honestly the craziest thing about it is that time and again evidence is borne out that BEING GOOD SAVES COSTS. Diversity of opinions enriches work culture and makes teams more strategic. Housing the unhoused saves governments money. Basic income is cheaper on civic systems than mass poverty.

there's just like a whole class of rich people who see everyone as a data point on an Excel spreadsheet and they look at things like Being Good or Standards or Helping Society Somewhat and say "but this doesn't add more numbers to my money cell"

Would just like to point out that Anna Waehre, the researcher here mentioned as guilty of grievous research ethics violations targeting trans minors was a panelist in a SEGM conference last year with a large number of other abuse apologists.

I genuinely think that trans people need to fight a bigger fight about research ethics governing our treatment. "Trans rights are human rights" is vague.
No research without consent is specific.

It's right that trans people should be able to refuse to be subjects in research being conducted with an aim of reducing their options in life, reducing their comfort and wellbeing.
