I still think the most romantic 💘 and considerate thing to say today is:

🏳️‍⚧️⚧️TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS ⚧️🏳️‍⚧️

It's a good time to be obsessed with learning to knit.

It prevents me from doom scrolling, and now that I am avoiding several social media apps, the Internet is boring anyways. (Aside from the horrors which I'm trying to take in small doses)

The spreadsheet brigade that's keeping LA's rental market from exploding
There's an army of volunteers at their keyboards right now, all over the country, preventing the ignition of a secondary disaster by snuffing out LA's price-gouging rentals

This Friday, I will be giving an hour long presentation to middle schoolers on Transit: safety, use/navigation, and jobs.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Walking around my neighborhood for the past 4 months that we've lived here, I know more people than my friends who have lived here for years.

I might not know everyone's names, but I can share some details about everyone on my block. Most know me and my pups. Halloween was also great for this.
By riding a bike primarily for transportation, I know which houses in nearby neighborhoods have cats that like to lay in the windows, which yards have the most squirrels, and which people like to wave and say hello the most.
Driving everywhere disconnects us from the real, physical world

I often visit with local oak and beech and maple trees. I also notice the birds and bugs and squirrels and deer who come by

Most humans who drive everywhere miss out on this world, shifting among mainly private interiors

Idea: "Don't tread on me" design, but specifically to let people know that I don't yield to men in the grocery store.

(Doc Martens would probably work, but they hurt my feet)
