I think nothing? MPRAGE seems to be the main concern. I should be clear, this is an irb thing, not a center thing. The center knows this is not preferable to really anyone.

We talked about maybe exporting the info into json or something. I think that could be managed, but not optimal for sure.

Yes. This is the other part of the conversation. Right now, labs archive their own data, if it becomes centralized there are access/infrastructure/$ questions. I’m also not sure the folks driving this proposal know about dicom headers, but they are definitely worried about facial reconstruction.

💯 thank you. There are so many reasons why this could be an issue, specially with special populations with atypical anatomy. We’re making the theoretical case, but also want to be able to say AND these xx institutions all give raw dicoms to researchers. Thanks for the response!

To me, this seems generally problematic, but also really just not done widely or at all. I’ve talked to lots of you, but hoping to get a wider sample to find out what centers are doing more broadly. Thanks!
