Happy New Year! The asshole rooster is causing trouble so we’re starting the year off trying to get chicken bibs onto our rarely handled chickens. Unsurprisingly, it’s going very poorly. An hour and a half in, exactly 3 hens are dressed.

T (my 5yo) is getting ready for Halloween. He just grabbed paper and markers to make a sign.

Me: are you going to write “Happy Halloween?”
T: Nope, I’m going to write “$1.”

Y’all. He’s trying to sell candy to trick-or-treaters…

Big week over. Harvest is over at home AAAAAANNNDDD IRB approval just came though so we can start collecting our first UNL data! Feeling pretty good about November!

And while I’m advertising things: I am recruiting 1-2 grad students this cycle! Please spread the word to your enthusiastic students excited about memory and it’s disorders. In the lab we study the human memory system applied to aging, TBI, sex hormones, and (newly) methamphetamine use disorder.
