So many people in our state of Kansas have been protected against unfair insurance policies like pre-conditions that would allow insurance to drop anyone anytime even while they are receiving a pre approved surgery. No more!
Thanks for sharing your story, Rebecca. Protecting folks with pre-existing conditions – like your son – was important to us. And it’s why we have to continue working hard to protect and build on the foundation of the ACA, too.
Before ACA my son was denied coverage because of “preexisting conditions”. When ACA was established his medical conditions were all covered. I’m thankful every day insurance companies are no longer allowed to deny coverage. Thank you President Obama. (He was a baby when this all happened)

Scary times. This is the pandemic health response axing Trump did before Covid but on a massive scale. He won because of the lack of the fairness doctrine in journalism and citizens united which gives rich people the ability to buy elections.
The Dep't of Health and Human Services laid off employees Saturday evening across some of its biggest agencies, including the FDA and CDC.
Those laid off included people who evaluate the safety of medical devices.

In 2006, “an inconvenient truth” made us aware of emissions coming from pollution. Though we have the tech to greatly stop it, only a few states are utilizing those techs. We need to do more. Consequences are hundreds of millions of people under water.
