It was more than a year in the planning, including growing the flowers and figuring out how to get the camera a good 15 feet above the ground to reduce distortion.

I am enjoying approaching photography as an artform and not just as reference. I also love working with extraordinary people. McKenna, the model, is one of those people. So is Alaina @s0alaina.bsky.social - who did the hair and styling. The world is a more beautiful place because of both of them ❤️

My wife @sharilyonart.bsky.social bought me the coolest little fog machine for Christmas. It is small enough to fit in a pot like this and let the fog seep out.

I found all three covers! I thought maybe I had lost the files when an older hard drive crashed years ago - done for David Farland's series, the Ben Ravenspell Trilogy.

One of my early commissions was to do book covers for a trilogy of books for David Farland. The series is the Ben Ravenspell Trilogy. Dave has since passed away, far too young, but I look back so fondly on this opportunity. I need to find the art for the third one!
