Watch Duty has been a fantastic app for us in Boulder, CO. Kept us up to date with very timely and accurate reports multiple times over the summer this year.

TBH, watching safely from CO, but as an interested party, I’d gladly take “just the facts” via a newsletter over the endless drama and time-filing the newscasts are at this point. It’s inefficient at best, dangerous at worst.

The closing shot of that commercial about sums it up.

Always higher. It’s nearly impossible to recover from lower and it’s likely a lifestyle play at that point. Nothing necessarily wrong with that, but know you take an option off the table.

Also anything with xxx in the name! 🙄

Probably right and scary, if accurate. Scary good maybe. Scary, scary maybe. Seems like a setup for an FTC inspection similar to google if they do get that big under a single umbrella.

Those are easily scientifically answered, which would lend to bot strengths.

Not sure. It’s a “feeling” but > just a feeling.

Inputs could be:

-Age of account
-New-to-world content generated (volume)
-Quotes vs New content
-Profile pic (harder)
-Relevance of replies (hardest)

(NOT MECE)

Like @reidhoffman.bsky.social said: “If you aren’t embarrassed by the first version of your product, you shipped too late.”

Personally, it’s a lot of manual work to curate. BSKY is definitely getting popular enough that the bots have arrived in force.

Our suggestion: Start with a BDR instead. They'll handle the time-consuming but straightforward tasks like outbound outreach and scheduling meetings, giving you space to crack the code on your sales process.

Once you understand what works, then bring in senior leadership to scale it.

Here's the reality: if you don't understand your sales process yet, a VP won't either. They'll burn through your critical runway trying to figure it out vs deploying a proven message and process that resonates with your ICP.

Most SaaS founders rush to hire a head of sales, hoping they'll magically solve all sales challenges. Sales is a skill and it's rooted in process. Processes and skills a founder may not have or want to learn.
