Presumably it's all sorted out (I haven't seen the episode), but watching that I felt really uncomfortable. This was brilliantly acted but it actually makes me worried, even though I know Rhoda will be okay.

Personally, yeah, I'd be interested in that. Very interested actually.

I haven't seen the episode so I don't know the context for this, but seeing Julie Kavner crying really hurts. Julie is brilliant. Of course Julie is best known for playing Marge, who I obviously love, but she's so much more than just Marge.

Happy Halloween. I'm too much of a wuss for most horror films, I can watch horror-comedies but less so straight up horrors. Today I'm going to watch The Terminator though, I think that counts as a horror? The first one at least, James Cameron came up with it after having a nightmare.

I'd have told them to fuck off.

I think the moment where it clicked for me was this bit:

Kramer: "Did you hear about Martin? I can't believe he's in a coma! He's still got my vacuum cleaner!"

It might be quite an obvious joke but it gets funnier every single time I see it.

Obviously it was intended to be a parody of traditional sitcoms, with the characters intended to get less sympathetic as it went on, but because there's so many sitcoms where characters are arseholes nowadays, I didn't realise that until The Suicide in series 3.

Yeah, Pete's crap. A dinosaur getting the shits isn't comedy gold in any way. Series 8 is mediocre at best, apart from Casandra. Me and Dad have a soft spot for Krytie TV though. But my Dad hates Seinfeld for some reason, so I don't share all his bollocks sitcom opinions. Just some of the RD ones.

Which Red Dwarf episode is it most similar too? I feel like having a look at both and comparing them. Although I've not seen any episodes of UFO, is it serialised, would I be totally lost without watching the others?

This pic is from Co-Dependence Day isn't it? Probably one of the worst offenders. It wasn't even very funny, the only bit I like in the whole episode is Homer singing MacArther Park.

I'm 20 so you'd have started doing the Bedtime Hour when my younger brother was about 4. Back then the Bedtime Hour was nice... apart from my irrational fear of In The Night Garden. Embarrassed to admit that I wasn't over it until I was about 13. It's the Bedtime Hour-and-a-quarter now, feels wrong.

Yeah, maybe. On TV Tropes she has her own in-character page, where both little Angelica and All Grown Up Angelica make comments to each other, with AGU Angelica adamantly denying she fancies Chuckie, only for little Angelica to ask her why her face has gone all red. Something she's not telling us?
October 12, 2025 at 2:40 PM
One of the creators says he based her on a girl who picked on him at school. He thinks the girl did it because she secretly fancied him. Maybe it's the same with Angelica and the way she treats Chuckie? I doubt it but maybe.
October 12, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Eventually she liked her, but it took a while. At first she hated her. I love Angelica myself but Sadie wasn't keen at all. I'm more like Chuckie than Angelica in real life though, so Angelica would’ve taken great pleasure in picking on me. Some think she might've had a crush on him in All Grown Up.

Not attacking the TV, but my dog Sadie used to sigh really heavily and leave the room whenever a soap opera came on. She wasn't trained to, she just did it. She used to watch Rugrats and The Simpsons, it took a few weeks before she stopped sighing at Angelica, but she eventually warmed up to her. 😆

True, people may not realise it's all a joke. I love you both and I really don’t want others to think you and Lydia are picking on each other.
October 10, 2025 at 7:27 PM
I love seeing you and Lydia in the same video, so a collaboration that just consists of you and her pretending to fight and firing insults at each other would be hilarious.

You have no idea how desperately I want to read this book.

What actually will be different though? Will stuff on Star disappear? Will stuff be added? I'm not sure what's changing apart from the name.
October 7, 2025 at 9:35 AM
True, it’s just hard for me to ignore, those sort of comments piss me off because if I see a post about something I don’t see the appeal of, I don’t feel the need to insult anyone who is a fan.
October 2, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Actually I think he or she is not worth arguing with. Why bother commenting on an announcement for a cartoon video if you don’t care about cartoons? "I hate cartoons so I'm gonna go on a Simpsons channel and write a comment insulting people who like cartoons for absolutely no reason whatsoever!"
October 2, 2025 at 8:03 PM
Agree, After nearly 30 years away we all miss him and I'm looking forward to seeing Rick again. I actually haven't watched Spaceballs despite owning a copy so I suppose this'll be my incentive to finally check it out. I've also never seen Star Wars either though so I might not get much out of it.
September 30, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Yeah, she announced today that she's doing one this year too. She's got all sorts of stuff going in October. I do remember you helping her out with the first one though, I love seeing you and Lydia collaborating.

Though of course the "show about nothing" thing was just a joke in the fourth series that viewers assumed was the truth. Jerry's original pitch in real life was "This is how I get my material". If I heard it be described as a show about nothing I'd think "I don't wanna watch that, why would I?".
