What was that?

No, that’s Krakel. Caucus was the governor of Massachusetts from 83-91

Is the engine just clamped in place? What’s going on here

They’re definitely trying hard to make parallels to today, e.g. Roscoe Conkling is constantly fretting about ensuring support from ”donors” but as I understand it the political machines didn’t really need big donors because they purchased electoral support thru political favors

I drove around in my T on silvertown cords from the 70s? 80s? for like two years. Had to take em off with a sawzall

In what sense is Mark Wolf a “leading” federal judge

The gridlock in back bay is caused by far too many people trying to drive into Boston than the streets were designed to handle. That will happen with or without bike lanes - if anything the lanes will help by getting people out of cars and onto bikes

November 7, 2025 at 6:28 PM
Like the ticket costs more? That’s because it’s being used to subsidize the rest of the Amtrak network

Cornell also agrees to pay $30 million to the U.S. for no clear reason or purpose.

Yeah, but now they have TGV Ouigo as a whole separate low-cost service, so why not make inoui a bit more distinct, at least in first class?

Things you couldn’t trust American passengers around

Interesting. TGV inoui first class was pretty unremarkable

This looks awesome

If you look at where the deaths are happening it looks like this is at least equally the fault of FLDOT for building intersections around the crossings that basically guarantee people will be stuck on the tracks
