Elon Musk is worse at hiding it but this is the problem with all billionaires: they are a threat to democratic governance. They have an insatiable need to own and control everything. If you want to be free you have to curb their power, and demand political leaders who understand that
Elon Musk is against the European Union being the European Union —he posted this after X (fka Twitter) was fined for violations of the EU’s Digital Services Act.

OMFG.

Doesn’t ANYONE remember the ACTUAL topic of the taped conversation from June 2016, among what was then the House Gop leadership, that is instead remembered for Kevin McCarthy saying Putin pays Trump?

Republicans once thought this was “diabolical!”

“The Trump administration has effectively outsourced soaring disaster costs to ill-equipped states, profit-seeking insurers, and, ultimately, helpless individuals.” When the next hurricane hits, these cuts will prove disastrous. From Kenny Stancil:

You’re in a weird circle. None of my boomer aged friends wants anything to do with AI. Some of them even view Siri with suspicion. My Gen X friends, on the other, are all in.
I don’t know about the rest of you but overnight all of the boomer aged people in my life are gaga over AI photos. I mean they’re making them, posting them a dozen times a day, forwarding them like chain letters.

Sadly, this appears to be AI. There are some tells throughout (hands disappearing, the people in the background staring like collective zombies, some weird configurations on the walls) but overall, this looks pretty real -- it's getting harder to tell what's real and what's not. Which ain't great.

Some shelters do something I love. They let the dog choose.

You sit in a quiet room. One dog walks in. No pressure. No scripts. The dog decides who feels safe.

A tiny reminder that sometimes the best connections happen when we let ourselves be chosen 🥹🫶🏻

No need for a formal ceremony as he'll snatch from the box & put it on all by himself. Both laughably pathetic AND pathetically laughable. 🤡 🫣

It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.
