I score with FL Studio's video player. I think Reaper (free DAW) has a video player too.

for synth design, grab the VST vital and start with sine waves. sine with pitch and volume modulation can do so many things. takes a lot of practice, but I make all of my sfx with synths. it's so fun

otherwise, foley. can find tons of stuff on freesound to mess with, and DIYable

most blender videos are made viable with 2x speed playback

the clean Art station Render with a rim light was boring years before it was automated imo. I'm pessimistic that it will raise the bar for popular taste. maybe, but I think social media has destroyed media literacy. people need to explore and engage with art, not treat it as fast food + gambling.

and masking out the blurred layer with an airbrush isn't ideal either. it'll leave a seam where you can see the hard edge of the original layer underneath. it's fine as a different aesthetic, but it sucks that CSP can't apply a true filter with a brush tip like Krita and Photoshop can.

i checked, there's no sub-tool settings for move. i used PS for a very long time but more or less switched. i still bounce things to PS very oftne though. the "Blend If" features and mixer brush are just so nice. my biggest gripe with CSP is the blur tool, i hate it.

im on 4.0 but it works with the transform operation, not with the "move layer" tool (shrug). make sure you have "snap to grid" enabled when transforming. the snapping options are enabled with ctrl+1,2,3, with ctrl+3 being snap to grid.
