Elise Stefanik went from being Trump’s main ally to getting passed over for UN ambassador, defending racist Republicans and now discarded in favor of a “communist”

And Stephen Miller’s attacks on NYC were completely undercut by Trump

Maybe Zohran Mamdani should visit the White House every day

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

SNAP benefits are delayed and reduced for November.

This is why we asked Gov. Braun and Statehouse Republicans to give our state food banks additional money.

Hoosiers deserve better than this. 🔗⬇️

It's the first Friday of the month, which means we've gone 2 months now without a jobs report. For Trump, this is a feature of the shutdown, not a bug, since private surveys show the job market slowing dramatically. But without official data he's able to keep lying about it.

I always find it interesting how the story changes when a lawyer gets to court. They can say anything they want outside of court without accountability but the rules are vastly different in court where you can get seriously penalized for lying.

Tuesday night was a total repudiation of Trumpism. Democrats are showing what a real big-tent party looks like: Spanberger to Mamdani. That’s how you build a majority.

Because of the shutdown, SNAP food assistance is running out of money. 42 MILLION people, including kids, will go hungry and union jobs will be hurt.

What’s the Trump admin focused on instead of preventing this crisis? Building a $300 million golden ballroom at the White House.

“We” are still fighting about Obamacare because one side of “we” won’t stop…and after 16 years can’t pull together (or say out loud) an alternative. Though their recent swap of healthcare for tax cuts bill probably is their most public pronouncement to date.
Obamacare “will be old enough to drive next year, yet it’s somehow the main reason the federal government remains shut down today,” @annielowrey.bsky.social writes:

Most interesting part of the speech—a familiar MAGA tirade—was the audience reaction. Didn’t hear a single person applaud. Generals and admirals sat silently during this political lecture from a former National Guard captain. The right reaction.
