Antitrust litigator, bicoastal commuter, mom of big kids, caterer to a bossy German Shepherd. Lucky to live in a beautiful part of the world. Trying every day to let the light in.
These yellow signs are making a splash in our small Oregon town (including my front yard). It’s by far not the only thing we’re doing to protect our neighbors, but it sends a message.

Portland Weds night on our walk to Moda for Stevie Nicks.

I spent the day yesterday (and will again today in war ravaged Portland watching HS girls’ water polo. Scary stuff.

I interrupt my daily doom scrolling to tell you all that this is one of the craziest and coolest books I have ever read. That is all.

The Metro this morning. I was terrified beyond belief.
September 2, 2025 at 10:24 PM
On the filthy and terrifying Metro in Murdertown this morning. DC looks the same as it did in June except for people in camouflage stomping around spreading mulch in the park.

Are the huge crowds all day tripping? Because it looks like the hotels and flights still have PLENTY of room.

Looks like lots of people are, even his supporters. Flights and hotels for Friday night on Expedia and Delta …

Hotel vacancy/rates and flights to DC on Friday. Doesn’t look like anyone will be there — to protest or celebrate.
June 11, 2025 at 4:23 PM
For instance — when was the last time you saw the Capitol Hill Hyatt for $215 in June? Tourists aren’t coming to DC and people aren’t coming for his parade (unless they’re day tripping it).

Buh bye, Jeff Bezos. Thank you for making it an easy call to save a bunch of money.

I like these signs that are popping up all over our little Oregon town better.

Sound ⬆️. The farm I grew up on, my mom’s farm still. My happiest of places. No more perfect place at Easter.

Roseburg, OR — pretty red Douglas County and I think over 1000 people. Lots of honks and support and buoyant moods all around.

Hood River, OR — maybe 2000 strong in a town of 8000. My daughter and my husband, my parents with their grandkids, the cherry trees watching over everyone. It was a great day. #handsoff

Hood River, OR yesterday. Probably 2000 people in a town of 8000. My parents got to march with their grandkids, there were so many creative signs, and the mood was buoyant and full of the best kind of togetherness. The hecklers mostly stayed home. #handsoff

My favorite images from yesterday’s march in our little town of 8000, Hood River, OR. First pic is my daughter and her dad and second is my parents with their grandkids. I’ve never seen numbers like this in our town — maybe 2000?

Yesterday afternoon/evening I did the most DC geek of all DC geek things and wandered around to all my favorite haunts while listening to the last few hours of Senator Booker making history. I can’t get over how masterful it was—substantive content to the end, passion that moved me to tears. Bravo.
