MODERN GOD opens tonight. Pretty much every contemporary dance show I have worked on I have mostly made minimalist ambient vibes. Nice to do a show that’s very much the opposite. This track is a acid rework of Zadok The Priest lol.

The most maximalist work I have ever been involved in opens this week. So stoked to make music for this beast of a show.

Field recording is a big part of my creative and professional life but also something close to a mindful practice. I love including these little frozen moments in time in my songs.
These tui recordings were made a few years ago with some one who mentored me.

Managed to get a jungle track into a contemporary dance show. My second greatest achievement with dancers behind convincing the New Zealand Dance Company to use synth doom metal track in one of their shows.

I released new music last week. This song is called You are not a Wallflower.
It was an attempt to create something equally pretty and defiant. Super inspired by Four Tet and Boards of Canada.
