"Palestinians in east Jerusalem are not allowed to live in west Jerusalem. Palestinians are not allowed to build houses or set up businesses and live under Israeli military law. They have Israeli ID but are not recognised as Israeli citizens."

Dr Amer added: "We cannot move in our country [eg. from Gaza to visit relatives in the West Bank]. Muslims in Jerusalem, in Ramadan, going to the Aqsa Mosque to pray, can't go unless they are over 50 years old. The Israel soldiers stand in the front of the gates and check the ID."
