I'm still thinking about this bullshit.
Their solution to the Newcomb paradox doesn't make any sense because, again, you would have to understand consequence.
You can't just "become the person who would choose A" because you would have to have prior knowledge of the whole set-up.

I am interested in some of the ideas regarding causality, but I think their rationalist/techy mindset made them erroneously think they could understand causality like an equation: Input X, get Y - they assumed a lot about consequence.
