I haven't been very active lately! But have been busy working on some things behind the scenes, which should be fun for the next art show; November 22nd at the Jingle & Mingle Craft Show at the Alpena Boys & Girls Club. (1/3)

When I worked at Wally-world I was shoehorned into working register for a brief stint, probably not long before I left. There was one person I met very briefly during that time that immediately piqued my curiosity and I kinda wish I had more opportunity to chat but he seemed like he was busy. (1/2)

I was looking through my DA gallery not too long ago and saw a rendition of Asriel that sparked a need to redo or at least reapply some creativity to the character. It's been awhile since I've played #Undertale but the music still gets me.

Trying something a bit unconventional, working out designs for a character. I'd like to sculpt said character eventually, and have some materials that would be incorporated, so I painted them in roughly to scale on a photo reference.

I had the opportunity to make some cinnamon rolls with someone near and dear to me recently, and it got me thinking that it's been awhile since I've done some still life painting.

While it took a long time and a lot more editing that could have been settled earlier, it’s one of my favorite works to date. For me as a painter it is a bit of a milestone to have brought it to this point. I hope others enjoy it and might find similar inspiration in these works! (7/7)

Finally, though it was a matter of consternation throughout, there was the balance of colors! Verm & friends are all color-coded, including the guards! It seemed best to approach as a burst of vibrancy being pit against a more dull & washed-out element in the shadows. (6/7)

All the while I was still using the same aspect ratio as the original inspiration, but found my more sparse population of the scene needed tightening. The progress
through the crowd of thimble guards and tight-packed clash of friend & foe got a little more emphasis I think. (5/7)

After a hiatus (over a year!) I went back at it, but had issues with Clip Studio Paint. It had been reliable for so long, but drivers for my version were obsolete, and I had other options. I switched to using Rebelle 5 out of curiosity and knew for sure that it had to be a full painting. (4/7)

Returning later than anticipated with an update. Our unnamed Mongoose has undergone some changes but I landed on something that worked and went with it! The combination of different entries was a challenge, but a fun one! There may be further development, but today seems like a fitting day to share
