At age 10 (1993), I watched The Secret Garden and felt utterly known. I had been adopted from foster care the year prior and sent away with a new family to a strange place. This @thistlethistle.bsky.social key, which is forged from solid bronze, arrived today and reminds me of this deep connection.

Today I watched this YouTube video ( youtu.be/CVgNJf6CsBA?... ) from @aoc.bsky.social and took notes for you all that I'm sharing here as two images. I did fact-check AOC, because I think it's important to fact-check politicians (even the ones we like), and I did not find any discrepancies.

Today I filmed a YouTube video that will be going up tomorrow, where I finished my living room makeover. My cat is injured, my daughter is home with the flu, the U.S. is crumbling...but it's FINE. 😅 Filming YouTube videos has become a special interest, and it gives me a reprieve from the chaos.

Today I filmed a YouTube video that will be going up tomorrow, where I finished my living room makeover. My cat is injured, my daughter is home with the flu, the U.S. is crumbling...but it's FINE. 😅 Filming YouTube videos has become a special interest, and it gives me a reprieve from the chaos.

Last night was the coldest we've had here since moving to this house four years ago. This little dude showed up, and we couldn't let him freeze his fluffy butt off out there, so we let him in. We get a lot of strays out here since there is no vet, animal control, or animal rescue in our county.

The thing that hasn't happened in the four years I've lived here is happening: it's snowing! It snowed once when I lived in Savannah, so this makes my second snow in 13ish years of living in south GA.
