I have ordered a new monitor and PC. Not just random parts from AliExpress but logical well reviewed parts for a system that can apparently run games at ultra at 1440p and a ips display that is apparently not terrible.

I have this dell 32 inch monitor at work and it has power delivery for my laptop and a KVM switch so I can have my desktop plugged in and use the same keyboard and mouse and I personally think it's the coolest piece of tech Ive ever used.

I hate how useful I find chatgpt for just making me more coherent when I developing ideas.
I just throw paragraphs of badly written shit at it and it comes back with semi coherence. With that semi coherence I can turn it into actual coherent ideas that I can then form into tasks I can do.

I decided to try and improve my Dev setup by using the SSH feature in studio code to connect to my Ubuntu machine so I had native Docker support instead of using wsl and Docker desktop.
It took two hours of fucking around to get SSH public keys to work.

Did I find the airconditioning panel in my room and change the set points so it is freezing in here all the time ?

I went to the doctor because my antidepressants seem to be depressants over the last couple of months and the doctor was like "oh yeah that can happen"
So now we try life with no meds for a while, will my anxiety come back, who knows. Thank you fucked brain chemistry.

I have been playing around with dalle 3 and the images are much better but my god. I asked for a picture of two fat people, one for me and one for my partner and they just kept on going way too hard on the boobs. I didn't mention breasts once.

The old server never died despite it being a reconditioned xeon server board from AliExpress. It also draws a ludicrous amount of power though so I'm upgrading to ryzen 5 5600H. Way less cores than the 12 of my old server but I dockerize everything now and use VMs less

My manager approved one day working from home a week and I've never been more thankful.
He just gave me back 2 hours in my week from not having to drive.

I have been using Microsoft powerapps at work to make a dashboard and I love powerapps. Because it starts with the premise what happens if your users are too stupid or lazy to use a spreadsheet.
And honestly that's 90% of the problem with excel.

I played Warhammer underworlds last night and my god that game is the gateway drug to buying thousands in paints and minis.
