I'm loving the toitoi in areas where Forest and Bird have planted it. It is so much more beautiful than the pampas we see everywhere else. This is Karaka Grove Whangaparaoa.

I've just found out that these lagunaria trees are native to the Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands. Close to us and almost native which might be why they were planted among the pohutukawa at Okoromai Bay. #Aotearoa
