💔 HK$13.7 per meal? That’s what 300,000+ migrant domestic workers in #HK survive on.
Minimum wage raised 2.2% → HK$5,100 (USD657). Food allowance frozen 2 years → HK$13.7 (USD1.8) per meal. Not enough for a Filet-O-Fish.
They deserve fair wages & proper allowances! 💪

Mid-Autumn Festival — Thinking of those unjustly imprisoned
We remember Lee Cheuk-yan, Chow Hang-tung and Albert Ho, detained for four years over the subversion case against the Hong Kong Alliance. Their trial begins on 11 Nov.
Let’s not forget them and keep supporting their fight for justice. 🕯️🌕

4 years after its forced dissolution, the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions remains a powerful symbol of worker solidarity. It fought for a minimum wage, collective bargaining, and independent unions. Though gone, its spirit of perseverance continues to inspire Hong Kong’s labour movement.

#China’s National Day = blood & tears, not celebration.
In London, 200+ from HK, Uyghur, Tibet, China & Taiwan projected “ #NotoCCP” on the Royal Mint.
HKLRM: The CCP are liars, they stole HK’s freedoms, breaking every promise. Hong Kong is proof of their betrayal.

Today, on the 11th anniversary of the Umbrella Movement, around 1,000 people gathered in London for the sixth protest against China’s mega embassy. We moved through Chinatown, chanting “CCP, Go To Hell” and “No China Mega Embassy,” while handing out leaflets to restaurant patrons along the way.

🚨 Ahead of the Chief Executive’s Policy Address, the HKLRM released a report on the review of the imported labour scheme, revealing loopholes & weak penalties which allow exploitation of both migrant and local workers. Calls for suspension of unjust labour schemes.

#HongKong playwright Candace Chong says she’s been blacklisted.
She marched for democracy and wrote May 35th, a rare play about Tiananmen. That act “marked” her, leading to cancelled revivals, erased credits, and blocked curtain calls.

At an online forum, Christopher Mung warned the #HK national security law goes beyond punishing 2019 protesters. It seeks to uproot dissent & impose authoritarian order.
🏛️ Unions placed under 24/7 surveillance
🚫 Venues & resources blocked
📉 Labour & civil groups forced to dissolve

🚴‍♂️💥 Over 12,000 accidents in a year in China. Riders risking their lives for your lunch. Most get no insurance, no protection. In China & HK, food delivery thrives on exploitation.

🚨 400,000 MPF default notices in #HK, but only 0.07% prosecuted.
⚠️ Missing MPS payments often signal business collapse.
Yet workers suffer the most: 💸 delayed or missing #MPF contributions mean less retirement savings.

Even silence scares them.
🕯️In #HongKong, a woman clasped her hands — surrounded.
🍬An artist chewed gum — searched.
📜A placard quoting history — shut down in seconds.
🚨The state’s response reveals its cowardice: even the quietest act of remembrance scares them.
