It's kind of like meditation, you get into the rhythm of passing the bobbins back and forth. It take just enough concentration that there is no room in my brain for stress.

I've always wanted to make lace, my English gran tried to teach me tatting, and then I found bobbin lace as an adult. I am a terrible ballet dancer, but it taught me to point my toes and turn out my feet great for SCD. It's the ancestor of square dancing with no caller, and the men all wear kilts.

They had a contest what to name the terminal: WALT = West Automatic Law Terminal. It had a key with a key on it for key number searching! And you could stack your dot commands so it would log on, sign in, find the case, print it, and log off in about 30 seconds.
