I would love to expand the project, honestly! I was badly hampered at the time I was working on it by lockdowns and travel restrictions, but there's so much more I'd love to do with it. There are some amazing textile artisans in this province, and I'd love to talk about more modern craft revivals.

January project - learn enough about bobbin lace making that I can bring a demo into my early modern class and not look like an idiot. I'm slowly working my way through Jo Edkins' tutorials, and I'm pretty pleased with the results! Here's my first try at the torchon ground tutorial.

As promised, the 3d printed table loom. It's quite small, as our printer bed is only 18x18 cm, but it works! The action's a bit stiff and it'll only hold about a meter and a half of warp, but it will be fantastic as a demo tool for my intro fashion history class.

We got a 3d printer for the house last weekend. I found a pattern for a printable table loom yesterday. I know in my heart of hearts that it will be more frustrating than satisfying to try it out, but how can I not?
