Drake Maye the only QB to produce more than 100 EPA in the NFL this year...

I'm not saying he's the MVP, but damn he is making the case easy to make...

Munster have sold over 30k tickets for European clash vs Gloucester!

Pairc Ui Chaoimh holds 43k, but this shows the immense value of tentpole games for drawing in fans.

Crusaders game in ‘24 was a brilliant time…

Rugby World Cup 2027 Band Implications:

10 teams have nothing to play for (RSA, NZL, FIJ, ITA, ESP, POR, ROM, HKG, CAN, ZIM)

Of the 4 repechage teams (SAM, BEL, NAM, BRA), only Samoa can make band 3

The other 13 sides only have a minor band movement available

Chile have no control, 1 game v ITA

Lots of old forwards too, it's fine to have a sprinkling, but that number is worthy of concern imo

2031 Rugby World Cup host city applicants announced!

Here's their likely stadiums capacity for hosting...

World Rugby is going *very* big for this, there's ample room to faceplant with empty stadiums, but also ample room to utterly smash some attendance records, and crucially win financially.

@aaronschatz.com Lavonte David up to 426 total defeats, 5 from Seau (missing 1990 season), and 13 from Ray Lewis all time leader!

@mazmcm.bsky.social why are Pau top of the table despite being on equal points with Toulouse, but Toulouse have more points difference and more points for and fewer points against?

Is there some french logic I can't understand?

For international tournaments, rugby is ~by far~ the second most popular sport by total and average attendances

The 6 Nations and Rugby Championship are uniquely appealing for small team comps, the women's RWC is in the top 20 biggest international sports comps, and the men's is getting bigger!

Put it this way, I heard a lot of griping in the lead up to the World Cup, and basically zero complaints during it.

You can say it was fake, or plants, or bots, or whatever, but the result was objectively great.

I don’t see why this won’t be the same…

Dernier temps les deux equipes jouent a Brasil...

Bon chance pour les Paraguayens dans l'avenir!

What a result!

+20 margin going in to the return leg in Brazil next week. Last time these two met Brazil won by 60 at home, but Paraguay have given themselves a huge shot!

Half time at the first leg for the final spot at the 2027 Rugby World Cup repechage and Paraguay have been brilliant, two costly interceptions give Brazil the lead, but definitely have a watch if you want to catch a fun game!

Paraguay winning up front, esp the scrum

Are we doing the flawed overreaction on children’s height again?

Another undiscussed point is that we have a larger India diaspora in our country than Europe, one which tends to be shorter on global average too…

The neo liberal order you complain about has driven the greatest uplift in human conditions in history at an absurd pace...

There's plenty of critiques to levy, but "poverty worsening" is simply false on a population level, and the social collapse you almost gleefully pontificate on is seen nowhere

Another issue is that with the nascent stage of women's rugby, I don't think sending a big tour down under without an established travelling fanbase is the best idea...

6 of the top 7 attended women's games are in England (maybe more), I don't think you get these numbers down in NZ or Canada.
October 8, 2025 at 8:12 PM
Red Roses have sold more than 30k for their next home game vs Ireland in the Women's 6 Nations... so far!

This energy never stops, would be epic to fill up the third tier outside the World Cup.

France to host at the Velodrome or Stade de France when?

Anyone know who's replacing Samoa in this Autumn game vs Italy, they're likely going to be shattered from 3 games in 11 days for the repechage (8th-18th November)

Final follow up on this... really interesting how close eyeballing numbers on the website got to the final total. Think it just needed an adjustment with World Rugby not selling some seats for media.

Also bafflingly they didn't sell front row seats for most games because "obstructed view" v. dumb
