In the quiet of the night: Venice, Italy, known for its romantic atmosphere, is especially enchanting at night. The ancient street lamp above the entrance door of the depicted house casts a beautiful light to the floor & is reflecting in the waters of the canal. An old house in Venice with a worn out facade, the bricks in the lower part are visible. The grey entrance door has a fading green and black graffiti writing on it, on the left and right side of the doors there are closed shutters that consist of planks holding together with black hardwares in the upper and lower parts of the planks. This area is colored white, while the rest of the house is painted ochre. The rest of the windows in the first floor and the rest of the house are dark traditional fins/lamella/slat shutters. It’s a very peaceful picture in the quiet of the night and if you listen very carefully in your imagination, you might hear a cat meowing from afar.
