Freeland: "If these tariffs are put in place, it is going to hurt Americans ... your grocery prices are gonna go up, bc you know what you need to grow food in the US? You need fertilizer. 80% of it comes from Canada and you're gonna be a 25% tax on it? ... the WSJ is right. This is dumb."

After playing a fictional member of the Resistance a long time ago, I never could have imagined it ever happening in real life, but here we are.
Mark Hamill posting rebellious content in a battle against a dictator and his robotic sidekick is the most Star Wars shit ever.

The solar system is hosting its own New Year’s Eve spectacle, with the northern lights potentially visible as far south as Oregon and Illinois on December 31. Use your phone’s camera to enhance your view of the aurora borealis.

You get to rest.

You get to need rest.

You get to enjoy rest. (Or, to have mixed feelings about rest.)

You're not "lazy." You're not "letting anybody down" by resting-- at least, not anybody who matters.

And rest isn't "avoidance." It's rebuilding-- literally, physically.

Congratulations to Mike Johnson for trying to pressure the House Ethics Committee into burying a report that found the then-nominee for attorney general had engaged in sexual activity with a minor.

Party of Family Values, am I right?

I'm once again asking for a show where a librarian, a bookseller, and a carpenter travel around helping people manage their out-of-control book collections. Discuss their sentimental value, their rarity, their histories, then build amazing book nooks and shelves and little libraries to organize them

Two years ago today we were awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for protecting The US Capitol on January 6th 2021. Almost 4 years later the efforts to downplay, whitewash and minimize what happened appear to be succeeding. I won't ever stop standing up to them.

Word of the day is ‘quafftide’ (16th century): the season for drinking. Also a pithy way of declaring that it’s time to relax.

Works for hydropots (water drinkers) just as well.
